WOODEN PANELS
SOLID WOOD
All models of MAKK Vertical Panel Saws, with their great cutting capacity either in length (max mt. 12), or in height (max mm. 2500), or the thickness (max mm. 100), are used by furnishing industries, joineries, carpentries and construction companies, for cutting solid wood panels.
COMPENSATED
It’s possible to section plywood with max. thickness of mm. 100 on all MAKK models, either on manual panel saws or automatic ones.
Plywood is a semi-finished product with layers of wood peeled from the tree trunk. It belongs to the great class of stratified or multilayered panels.
LAMINATED
Laminated panels and/or sheets are composed of various layers, that it’s possible to section with all our models of Vertical Panel Saws, from the cheaper model (EASY-CUT) to the more complete model (DPM-AV), 100% automatic model with cutting optimization.
CHIPBOARD
Chipboard panels are composed by chips (scraps from other woodworking) that are mixed with binders to then be pressed, and then make the panels.
They are also called wood fiber panels, and are commercially available in various sizes and thicknesses.
ENNOBLED PANELS
It’s a chipboard panel (or plywood, printed wood, OSB or MDF) covered on both sides (top and bottom) with a thin sheet of melamine paper.
The use of this paper means that the ennobled panel is often called melamine panel.
All models of MAKK Vertical Panel Saws are suitable for cutting ennobled panels.
PLASTIC PANELS
PLEXIGLASS
Plexiglass panels and/or sheets are very transparent like or even more than glass.
As transparency they are assimilated to optical fiber, with the possibility of being unbreakable depending on their composition.
All models of MAKK Vertical panel saws can cut Plexiglass panels, furthermore on our website MakXilia.biz you can find various types of machines for polishing, shaping, gluing of panels.
PLASTIC LAMINATED
This type of panels is specially used for building cladding, such as street and garden furniture, bathrooms and public/private offices.
In addition to being smooths, they can also be corrugated or decorative.
The plastic laminated panels can be cut with any model of MAKK Vertical panel saws, from the simplest manual EASY-CUT to the 100% automatic DPM-AV.
ACRYLIC
Acrylic panels and/or sheets are composed by acrylic resins, also here in various thicknesses and infinite colours.
All models of MAKK Vertical panel saws can cut Acrylic panels, either with manual or automatic models.

LEXAN®
The Lexan® is a type of panel composed by a special resin of the polycarbonate family.
This type of panels is used either for external cladding of industrial and civil buildings, or for interior details of civil and industrial buildings.
The Lexan® panels can be worked with any model of MAKK Panel Saws, either with manual or automatic models.
MAKROLON®, BAYER
Makrolon® sheets and/or panels are generally used (due to their impact resistance) as protective walls of machinery and production lines.
Also as roofing elements in both industrial and civil buildings.
Panels can be sectioned with MAKK Vertical panel saws in a safe and precise way, whatever size they have, even up to 12 mts in length, and 2,5 mts in height.
FOREX®
Forex® panels are composed by expanded or semi-expanded PVC. It’s also called Vekaplan.
It can be used in the communication sector, for the creation of signs, models, store fittings, television and theatrical settings, etc.
It’s used in interior design, external cladding, and even in the nautical sector.
You can cut easily and precisely with MAKK Vertical panel saws.
METACRYLATE
Metacrylate sheets and/or panels are very transparent as or even more than glass. As transparency they are assimilated to optical fiber, with the possibility of being unbreakable depending on their composition.

POLYCARBONATE
Polycarbonate panels or sheets are available on the market in Compact Polycarbonate and Honeycomb Polycarbonate.
Generally used in the construction sector as roofing and/or room separation elements.
They are characterized by an alveolar structure that, if on the one hand it makes them light and therefore easy to use and to install, is also the reason for their great resistance to knocks, cracks and loads.
They can be cut easily and precisely with MAKK Vertical panel saws.
PVC
PVC panels and/or sheets can be either compact or combined (as coating) on other types of materials.
All models of MAKK Panel saws can cut PVC panels, either with its manual models or with automatic ones, with panel lifting system through pliers.
POLYPROPYLENE
Polypropylene sheets and/or panels are commercially available in Compat and Alveolar typology.
The most interesting product from the commercial point of view is the isotactic one: it’s a semi-crystalline polymer characterized by a high breaking load, a low density, a good thermal and abrasion resistance.
Polypropylene panels are sectioned easily and precisely thanks to MAKK Vertical panel saws.

ALUCOBOND®
ALUCOBOND® panels are composite panels with sandwich structure, composed by 2 low thickness external aluminium sheets, and a thicker central layer made by synthetic material like, for example, the low density polyethylene (LDPE).
Panels can be cut, shaped, folded and assembled for use in the building sector, interior design (architectural coatings, ventilated facades, etc.), signage, the creation of exhibition stands, the furniture industry, etc.
Our MAKK Vertical panel saws, mod. CPM-D2B, CPME-2B, EASY-CUT-V, and CPM-AV can perform either cutting or V-milling (also called V-Grooving), and then bending the same panels.
ALUCORE®
ALUCORE® panels are composite panels with high rigidity honeycomb structure and an extremely low weight.
Light, rigid, with excellent fire resistance, unalterable over time and fully recyclable. ALUCORE® panels can be used in various industry and building applications, for curtain walls. They can also be overpainted, laminated or screen printed.
All our MAKK Vertical panel saws can make the cut, whatever size panels have, both in length and height, and thickness.
DIBOND®, ETALBOND®
DIBOND® and ETALBOND® panels are realized with a composite material with sandwich structure, composed by 2 low thickness external aluminium sheets, and a thicker central layer made by synthetic material like, for example, the low density polyethylene (LDPE). PANELS IN SPECIFIC MATERIALS
TRESPA®
TRESPA® panels are products designed to last over time and resist bad weather, UV rays and dirt.
Mainly used as external cladding of buildings, thanks also to their assortment both in colors and in prints that simulate natural materials.
Even Trespa® panels can be easily squared and sectioned with our MAKK Vertical panel saws, machines used both in carpentry shops, DIY centers, in advertising graphic companies, construction companies, or resellers of panels of any material.
PLASTERBOARD
Plasterboard panels are part of the building material. Due to its speed of use and its thermoacoustic characteristic, it’s one of the most used materials in light construction.
There are dozens of different types of Plasterboard panels on the market based on its thickness and the required use requirements.
In addition to the thermoacoustic properties, we also mention the flame retardant and water repellent ones.
Our MAKK Vertical panel saws (manual and automatic) can perform both cutting and V-milling (also said V-Grooving), a specific processing and then bending the same panels.
INSULATED
Also Insulated panels are mainly used in construction, both for roofs (those with a corrugated surface, see photo), and for external or partition walls (smooth).
Thanks to their excellent thermal insulation, they are also used for the construction of cabinets for vans, and/or for cold rooms.
MAKK Vertical panel saws can cut, section insulated panels even with a length of mts 12, and with thicknesses up to 100 mm, both with manual or automatic models.
CORIAN®
CORIAN® panels were invented by Du Pont. It’s a material mainly used in kitchen and bathrooms countertops.
It’s a composite material consisting in 2/3 of aluminium hydroxide (trihydrate) and 1/3 of acrylic resin (polymethylmethacrylate) with the possible addition of coloured pigments. It’s also called “acrylic stone”.
Corian® panels can be easily and precisely sectioned with all models of MAKK Vertical panel saws (manual and automatic).
On request also available with special dimensions and cutting sizes, up to mts 12 (mm. 12000) of length, and mts 2,5 (mm. 2500) of height.
POLYURETHANE
Polyurethane panels are generally used for insulation and waterproofing of walls, ceilings and floors.
They are also used for acoustic insulation of rooms.
There are various types on the market depending on their density and thickness, and the use to be made of them.
MAKK Vertical panel saws can cut and section Polyurethane panels even with length of 12 mts, and with thicknesses up to 100 mm, both with manual and automatic models.
FIBERGLASS
Fiberglass panels are composed by a type of glass-reinforced plastic, in form of fabrics or TNT (non-woven fabric, randomly oriented fiber felt) impregnated with thermosetting resins.
The MAKK machines are all suitable for cutting fiberglass panels, of any dimension and thickness, thanks to their great reliability and precision.
PANELS WITH HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
The panels with honeycomb cavity, also called Honeycomb, can be easily cut with our MAKK Vertical panel saws, any dimension and thickness they have, thanks to the reliability and precision of MAKK machines.
There are various typologies of Honeycomb panels, they can have a plastic, aluminium, wooden coating.
Even the honeycomb interior can be of various materials, depending on the needs of use.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD sheets and/or panels can be made up of various layers (also called waves) according to the use that must be made of them.
Dimensions can vary in length, height and thickness.
Generally used for packaging for any kind and dimension of products.
Thanks to a special and unique solution, MAKK machines can both cut and engrave the panels in order to facilitate their folding.
We can supply even Panel saws with a max. cutting height of mm. 2500, and lengths up to mm. 12000 (mts 12).
